Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for a Systems Technology Strategist, located in Dayton, OH. The Systems Technology Strategist is a senior-level technical leader responsible for guiding enterprise-wide digital engineering and system integration strategies. This role focuses on leveraging expertise in Agile development, Open Mission Systems, Government Referenced Architectures, and Digital Engineering to drive digital transformation.

The responsibility of the Systems Technology Strategist includes developing enterprise-level solutions to streamline organizational processes and advancing Digital Engineering strategies to support digital acceleration and transformation efforts. The Strategist will analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the Enterprise system architecture, plan and implement integration optimization strategies, and provide related training and resources. They will facilitate strategic technology planning across the organization, ensuring alignment with operational requirements by researching, proposing, and driving the implementation of cutting-edge technologies. Additionally, they will analyze operational capability requirements and advise the Government on the adequacy of technical solutions, particularly in terms of integration and operational impact. In collaboration with the Digital Transformation IPT, the Strategist will construct and refine Enterprise Technology Architecture Roadmaps to align operational goals with integration strategies. They will also contribute to the development and review of military and commercial standards related to communications, command/control, cybersecurity, and mission system interoperability. Partnering with industry experts, they will translate operational needs into a clear technological vision, ensuring industry partners understand and adhere to capability and system integration strategies. The Strategist will maintain relevant documentation and models that define these strategies and support network architecture planning in accordance with open protocols and DoDAF. Finally, they will actively contribute to the division’s Digital Transformation initiatives by advancing model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and other innovative digital lifecycle management approaches.

 

Required Qualifications

The applicant shall have;

  • Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA) / Master of Science (MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD

    • OR, BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD

    • OR, 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, eight of which must be in the DoD.

  • In-depth knowledge of Agile Software Development Processes, Open Mission Systems, Government Referenced Architectures, and Digital Engineering strategies and tools.

  • MINIMUM 2 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform capabilities

  • 5 years of experience with Digital Life Cycle Management.

  • An adjudicated DoD Top Secret Security clearance on the First Day of employment.

  • Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Possess knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of acquisition programs.

  • Possesses the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation including but not limited to briefings, documents, and plans.

 

Work Location

This is a full-time remote position with occasional travel to your respective USAF Base required.
