Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for an Enterprise Agile Strategist, located in Dayton, OH. The Enterprise Agile Strategist will lead efforts to enhance programmatic operations through agile transformation and the implementation of cutting-edge methodologies. This position works closely with leadership to define and communicate the organization's goals and drive enterprise-wide innovation.

The Enterprise Agile Strategist shall work closely with the Senior Material Leader and Branch Leadership to create the organization’s vision, communicate its intent and value across the Enterprise, and implement innovative efforts that improve current programmatic operations in order to achieve that vision.

The candidate shall have knowledge of Waterfall and Agile Project Management Methodology, and experience managing projects following Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming and SAFe. They shall be familiar with Agile values, principles, processes and methods (such as iterative and incremental development and continuous integration) and proven experience working with customers in gathering requirements, modeling use cases, writing user stories and documenting business processes. This experience will be leveraged in advising leadership on both big-picture and tactical matters, focusing on how technology and innovation opportunities can enable a wide range of value-based outcomes. The applicant shall leverage resources across the DoD and commercial entities to formulate and implement innovative strategies and best practices to resolve the Enterprise’s most challenging issues within budgetary constraints.

The applicant shall analyze, design and develop Enterprise-level solutions focusing on streamlining processes across all aspects of the organization and evolve programmatic strategies that enable a digital acceleration and transformation of tools and processes. 

 

Required Qualifications

The applicant shall have;

  • Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA) / Master of Science (MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD

    • OR, BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD

    • OR, 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, eight of which must be in the DoD.

  • An adjudicated DoD Top Secret Security clearance on the First Day of employment.

  • A current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

    • Additional Agile Certifications (CSM, CSPO, PMI-ACP) are highly desired

  • In-depth knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, including frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming, and SAFe.

  • Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force.

  • Experience with Life Cycle Management Plan (LCMP) highly desired.

  • Experience in project and change management with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·        Possess knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of acquisition programs.

 

Work Location

This is a full-time remote position with occasional travel to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH required.
